Ermes Department Stores Plc – Junior Stock controller (Nicosia)
The Ermes Group, the largest and most diversified retail organization in Cyprus, member of the CTC Group, seeks to recruit a Junior Stock controller to be based in Nicosia.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in and/or supervise monthly and annual inventory counts.
- Monitor stock expiry dates and coordinate with the relevant departments to minimize wastage and losses.
- Prepare various stock reports and make analyses using Microsoft Excel & Navision reporting system.
- Analyze stock movement patterns, identify discrepancies, and investigate any stock variances or discrepancies.
- Assist the LPO in investigating stock variances.
- Process and record the monthly and annual stock take adjustments.
- Ensure that stock invoices, adjustments and transfers are all recorded in a correct and timely manner.
- Identify areas for improvement within the stock control process and propose solutions to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor F&B stock variances and provide suggestions to the Head Chef/ F&B Manager not following the standard recipes outlined.
Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role in the Retail or F&B industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, or evenings as required.
